As late summer gives way to early fall, school is back in session, football season has arrived, and now is the ideal time to focus on lawns and landscapes. Cooler nights signal plants to slow top growth and strengthen their roots, making fall the best season to plant grass, perennials, shrubs, and trees. Many of you have already asked about preparing your lawns for overseeding. Lawn Depot Turf Management is well into its early fall application work (broadleaf weed control and early fall fertilizer). The Lawn Depot Garden Center fall hours are Monday – Saturday 8-5 and Sunday 9-3. However, we will be closed on Sunday, September 6th and Monday, September 7th in observance of the Labor Day holiday. The nursery is filled with thriving perennials, fruiting plants, shrubs and trees. The week of August 31st, beautiful fall mums, asters, pansies, ornamental cabbage, kale and peppers will arrive in an array of colors and sizes, as well as cold crops and some herbs. The garden center is stocked and ready for you with all the lawn and landscaping tools you’ll need, Premium Blue Tag Lawn Depot seed blends, fertilizers, pesticides, mulch, repellents and birding products.
