Nature’s Mace Dog Mace 40oz RTU
$18.99
Shake well before each use. Apply daily for the first 7-10 days. Initial applications should be frequent and heavy to discourage bad behaviors and create new habits. For stubborn situations, (or if several dogs are using your lawn to go potty), apply Dog MACE every other day for the following week. On week three, apply our Dog MACE once at the beginning of the week, and then once at the end. To maintain protection, apply Dog MACE at least once per week. Breaking a dog’s habit is key. Once a dog stops using the bathroom within an area, other dogs will follow suit. Applications and results may vary depending on how ingrained dogs’ habits are and how often they use an area. The goal is to train dogs and change their habits. Reapply after periods of heavy rainfall. This is not to be used as a perimeter application. Avoid heavy spraying on plants and grass. For the concentrates, this product requires mixing with water in a lawn or garden application sprayer. See the back label for mixing ratios.
Before using the dog repellent, be sure to clean up the area dogs are urinating/defecating in. Dogs are territorial and are frequently attracted to another animal’s scent. They also get accustomed to “going” in the same area, especially if it’s their territory. You should clean the area beforehand to establish control, and then use the repellent so that they won’t return to mark their territory. Every dog breed is different. Some dogs can smell better than others and some are more aggressive. A repellent spray that works for one breed may not be as effective for the other.
