April was a wild ride weatherwise. 80 degrees and then right back to feeling like winter, all in one week and then hit repeat. Let’s hope the freezing temperatures are behind us. We’re ready to get planting! We really could use more steady rainfall. Aside from that, bulbs, early spring perennials, flowering shrubs and trees have treated us to a magnificent display these past few weeks. Lawns are growing nicely and have returned to the beautiful lush green that we love so much. The Nursery is overflowing with everything you need and want including bedding annuals, vegetables, hanging baskets, tropicals, specialty annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees!! Don’t forget to shop our great Mother’s Day sales! May 8th – 10th all shrubs and trees are 30% off! We’ll also have an array of beautiful gift plants and planters that Mom is sure to love!
Our Turf Management Team is now well into its spring season. This Spring’s weather in March and April was erratic to say the least from late snow cover to 40° temperature changes as we are once again looking for some more regular rainfall. For those of you who want our superior turf management team to take over your lawn treatments this year, we’ve still got the ability to squeeze you in if you act immediately. We’re still accepting requests for estimates on regular maintenance applications (starting with broadleaf weed control) and special applications (core aeration/lime). If you are interested in getting an estimate for any lawn work, please either call the office (215-348-5553 – select Option 3 for Turf Management) and speak with one of our friendly staff or find our web page (www.lawndepotinc.com) and select Request an Estimate. We’ll be out to evaluate your lawn within a few days and email your quote to you.
The Lawn Depot Garden Center is stocked with all the gardening products and tools you need for a lush, beautiful, and pest-free yard. We will continue to receive weekly live goods deliveries through mid-June, so be sure to keep popping over to peruse our Nursery.
