As we welcome another lovely fall in Bucks and Montgomery counties, we’re enjoying much cooler nighttime temperatures (ranging from the upper 40’s to low 60’s) than we typically experience. Daytime temperatures have been quite comfortable in the 70’s and low 80’s, setting the stage perfectly for growing grass! Many of you have already begun the process of preparing your lawns for overseeding this fall. In fact, we’ve had the pleasure of assisting a number of you already. Some lawns need seeding due to lasting effects from last year’s drought damage, some due to excessive weed encroachment, some due to disease and other issues caused by the excessive heat and humidity this summer. No matter your situation, we’re ready to help you get your lawn back in tip top shape! There is much to do, but for those of you who begin now, your early actions will be self-evident as fall arrives. September is, without argument, the prime month of the prime season for starting, upgrading, repairing or just maintaining lawns.
Our Turf Management group is well into their fall applications of fertilizer and broadleaf weed control, as well as our fall core aeration and overseeding jobs. If you use our Turf Management services (or have recently been quoted for fall services) and have some work you’d like to have us do on your lawn in addition to the normal fall activities, please contact us as soon as possible to schedule services. We’re still adding new customers for both regular applications (fertilizing and weed control) or special jobs (core aeration, seeding, grub control, liming).
